I’ve been married to Ryan, the love of my life, for over a decade. I'm not sure when we grew up enough to have a family of our own, but it's way more fun than I ever imagined. We have four (FOUR!) crazy kids that keep me laughing. They say and do (or wear) funny things every day. Plus, they give the best hugs ever. They inspire me - and sometimes make me pull my hair out.
I fell for photography in high school. In a darkroom. It was mysterious and magical, love at first print! And later, when I made the switch to digital, it was like falling all over again.
I continued to take photography classes through college, while managing a portrait studio, and learning all I could. What I discovered along the way is that for me, photography has always been about capturing love. It's about finding the element that defines your relationship in that moment, and recording it forever.
My hope is to create images that make you fall in love all over again. Images that remind you what it feels like when your love whispers in your ear and suddenly, no one else exists. Or what it feels like when your sweet baby wraps her chubby little fingers around your neck and pulls you close. I want to capture images that remind you what it is to love.
When I'm not capturing love with my lens, you might find me curled up with a good book eating chocolate chip cookies, dancing in the living room with my kids (embracing the craziness), or stuffing my face with tortilla chips and guacamole while listening to my "new" favorite song on repeat.
