Just a couple of silhouettes from the workshop. I’m dying to try it here but we are so surrounded by (beautiful) trees it’s proving hard to do.

It got crazy cold during this session but if nothing else, I think Griffin stayed warm. This little man was on the move! But we got some fun pictures. Adella was a total natural. Such a beautiful family! I love, loved their clothing choices. Here’s your peek for now Liz. More to come…

And this next one I just love. It is Brett to a “T”. I can totally hear his laugh in this picture. I’ve seen this expression many times.

Miss you buddy!

Just wanted to share a few of my kiddos. We kicked off a “no school day” day with a morning run to Krispy Kremes. Yummmm… It was a great start to our day!

I just loved this little series, vintage. And also, I want to squish his cheekies.

More of my stinkin’ cute nephew.
This one cracked me up. I can just hear him saying, “get out” (Elaine style from Seinfeld).

A.ma.zing!

September 21, 2009

I had the opportunity to attend a super amazing photography workshop this past weekend hosted by Tiffany from Follow Your Art Photography. Her work is really incredible. The girls we worked with were beautiful and so, so much fun. Here are a few of my favorites (so far- I’ve barely scratched the surface.) Loved the locations, the light, the color, the texture. I loved it all! Stay tuned for more!

Thanks for looking!

Braxton was one happy little man. And my nephew- so it was lots of fun. (Although super windy! That’s what you get in Idaho I guess.)
It was so good to finally meet you, buddy. Hope it’s not another 10 months before I see you again!
Thanks for your patience, Beckii! I still have more to edit but wanted to at least post a few!

It’s a wonder I’ve gotten anything done besides editing pics of my cutie pie nieces and nephews. So hard to choose. Ethan was a complete natural in front of the camera. It was so funny. And Katie was such a good sport to do more pictures the next morning too because the sun was setting fast! Thanks, girlie!

ps. Jenny, sorry you had to wait so long- I posted a few extra to make it up to you! And there are still more coming.
pps. Beckii- yours are next!

So, the title is a line from a movie that has been in my head ever since we went to Idaho. Can you name that movie?
More from our trip west! Beautiful family. And they’re mine! I’m so lucky to have all these willing semi-willing-possibly-bribed models to torture,uh, photograph. Love how these turned out. More to come! We miss you already!

I was so excited when I received the call to do Carolyn’s one year session. Her family was one of the first sessions I did since going out on my own a couple of years ago, so it meant alot to me that they asked me to capture their newest addition. Such a beautiful little girl. She was all smiles while we worked outside. Then the rain forced us to finish up inside. She did a great job but she let me know when she was done. She purposely turned her head the opposite direction and refused to look at me. Or else she’d look right past me. She had spunk. It was so funny! I really enjoyed our session.

This was such a fun session for me! We were out in Idaho for a couple of weeks visiting family so of course I had to pull out the camera and get some pictures of my handsome little nephew Ezra. Thanks Coco and Cowboy for being good sports and sharing your little man. I could just eat him up! More to come…eventually!

Thanks for looking!

So, today while the little ones were napping Avery agreed to be my victim. This is a rarity. I was comparing metering methods. Which was a little difficult because one minute it was cloudy and the next second the sun would pop out from behind the clouds. And so it went. Here are a few of my favorites from this little impromptu session.

I had to beg a few more shots out of her.  She agreed if she got to take a couple of me.  Deal.  So, she scouted out a location, showed me how to pose, looked through the lens and said, “say vegemite”.  I’m 100% certain she did not get that from me, the vegemite part at least.  I laughed right out loud! I’ll have to try that at my next session.
