Merry and Bright

Wishing you a Christmas that is Merry and Bright!

This little witch had a great time posing. You just have to let her dress up I guess.
While costume shopping, I told Mason Darth Vader was just too scary. (He’s been watching Star Wars with Dad when Mom isn’t home.) He said, “but I’m just a little Darth Vader”, that and the fact that it was discounted was good enough for me.

And I just had to take what I could get of ‘ol Pooh. (Thanks for the costume, Jennifer). She was not loving being a silly, willy, nilly old bear. But life was good as long as she was dancing on boxes! And she loved Trick or treating. “Tick or teat. Tankyou.” It was seriously so cute.

Now I’m off to raid the goods.
Happy Halloween!
Just wanted to share a few of my kiddos. We kicked off a “no school day” day with a morning run to Krispy Kremes. Yummmm… It was a great start to our day!

So, today while the little ones were napping Avery agreed to be my victim. This is a rarity. I was comparing metering methods. Which was a little difficult because one minute it was cloudy and the next second the sun would pop out from behind the clouds. And so it went. Here are a few of my favorites from this little impromptu session.

I had to beg a few more shots out of her. She agreed if she got to take a couple of me. Deal. So, she scouted out a location, showed me how to pose, looked through the lens and said, “say vegemite”. I’m 100% certain she did not get that from me, the vegemite part at least. I laughed right out loud! I’ll have to try that at my next session.
So, I cannot believe it is already the middle of July. Hope you all are having a wonderful summer! Most of our awake time has revolved around water in some form or another. We did make it to the arboretum once. (For you locals- it is free every Tuesday!) We also went to the movies one day. 5 yr. old enjoyed the movie. 2.5 yr. old was in and out. 17 month old raced up and down the hallway with Mom hot on her trail almost the entire 90 or so minutes the movie was playing. Still, it was a good time. We’ve been to the zoo, and cherry picking, countless parks and the library. I love summer!
And because I love summer, I feel like giving something away. $500 to be exact. The first 5 people to schedule an appointment will receive $100 print credit to apply to their session!! Call me at 828.989.0794 or shoot me an email at destinee@destineeblau.com.
And just for fun, here are a couple of pics from the arboretum.

After way too much time spent working on it, the comments are finally fixed. I hate that they are double-spacing, but at least you can leave a comment. Phewww! Code is not my forte.

Seriously. This site has a mind of its own. And just the other day the comments decided not to work. Arrrgh… I am working on it. In the meantime, if you’d like to leave me a comment shoot me an email at destinee@destineeblau.com. Thanks so much!

Happy summer. We are off to the movies!
I found this mom/tog blog a while back and thought I would pass it on. It’s a blog for Mom’s who love to shoot. There’s some great advice, fun examples, and interviews with other moms who are photographers too! Check it out!

Yay for summer!
This is how we’ve been celebrating so far:

I think we could spend our entire summer in the backyard, playing in the water and eating popsicle’s. Brittain is just happy to have found a chair her size…

You can see more of my sessions at the old blog: www.destineeblauphotography.com
I’m just moving over some recent sessions so you don’t have to visit my old blog too. Unless you want to. So bear with me if you’ve “been there, done that.”
With all this rain, I’ve been rescheduling outdoor sessions like crazy. I’ve been getting restless. Yesterday I had to play. So I pulled out my camera and grabbed hold of my favorite little one year old. It was lots of fun. More chasing and tackling than shooting I think. I am in Love with this girl.

I’m working on getting this new blogsite up and running but in the meantime you can view my work at www.destineeblauphotography.com. Check back soon, I’ll be having a sweet giveaway once the dust settles!!
Have a great, long weekend!
Destinee
