I’m so in love with that top “kissy” picture. I first met these sisters back in July. You may remember their cousin session. I love these girls. They are so much fun to shoot and hang out with. They are funny. And smart. (I have to admit some of the jokes/riddles were going way over my head! And I probably couldn’t repeat any of them, even if my life depended on it.) They are so respectful and just, good. Ya know. And well, I’m half tempted to drop my four kids off at their doorstep because their parents are definitely doing something right! It’s so crazy how much they’ve all changed in just a few months! I expected it from baby “E”, but not the older girls so much.

I think everyone should have a sister. Sigh…

I adore shooting families. I wish I had images like these with my parents. Don’t you wish that for yourself? Fiona and Simon will be able to look back at these images when they are older and know just how much they are loved. And I love that.

It’s been such a very long time. My own blog didn’t even recognize me when I tried to log in. I guess I deserved that.

My family and I headed to Idaho for almost three weeks to get away and visit with family. It was so, so wonderful to spend quality time with the people we love most!

I only touched a computer 3 times while we were gone. Once to check the status on my camera that was being shipped to me from Canon, scheduled to arrive the day of my Mom’s session with all of her kids and grand-kids. Stressful. But it made it. A day early!
Next, to order sandwiches for Avery’s baptism luncheon. (I love Jimmy Johns veggie sub!)
And finally, to squeal with excitement (as much as is possible online anyway) with friends after finding out that another baby is on the way for one of the girls!

And I survived!

And I kind of loved being off-line. And even though we’ve been back for two weeks now it’s hard to get back into the routine of it all. And I don’t want to get sucked in. But I have people waiting…

So I’ll start with this post. More of what matters most. Relationships, family, friends.
I loved spending time with all these girl cousins! They were having the times of their lives with each other. Half the crew lives in Michigan and they were able to come up and spend a few weeks playing and exploring.  It was so much fun getting to capture some of that with my camera!

It was so fun delivering these portraits! The girls were so excited. Camille exclaimed, “we look like we’re in a movie!” Fun!
